The Amstel Gold Race is the only one day cycling spring classic in Holland on the UCI World Tour. The start is in Maastricht and the finish comes after 260km of winding, narrow climbs in nearby Valkenburg.

Note that today, the amateur version of the Amstel Gold Race takes place and if you are a cyclist then we can get you entry into the event!!

Sunday the 15th of April - The Amstel Gold Race:
Last year the 52nd Amstel Gold Race was won by Phil Gilbert who beat Sky’s Michael Kwiatkowski in a sprint. Anna van der Breggen (Boels Dolmans) won the women’s Amstel Gold Race ahead of Lizzy Deignan and Kasia Niewiadoma. Today we offer various VIP and hospitality access options and you can add these when you make your hotel booking.

Schedule of race day events:
Since 1966 the Amstel Gold Race takes place in Limburg every year. The ‘Markt’ in Maastricht is the start location of the Amstel Gold Race. The finish line is situated in Valkenburg. The Amstel Gold Race is part of the UCI WorldTour. On 15 April 2018 the 53rd edition will be organised.
From 2017 there will also be a women’s race in the Amstel Gold Race weekend which is part of the UCI Women’s World Tour. ‘De Markt’ in Maastricht is where the start takes place and the finish is in nearby Valkenburg.

Single travellers and twin to share:
We welcome single travellers on our tours and holidays as it is a great way to join a like-minded group of people and you will make lots of new friends. If you would like to join our group as a single traveller we can offer you two options. A single room or if you want to avoid the single supplement then you can make use of our ‘twin to share’ option. We will pair you up with another rider (of the same sex) and you can enjoy the event without having to pay extra.
