(Event date - 10th June)
The Milan Sanremo Gran Fondo is your opportunity to ride the route of the longest one day event on the UCI calendar in June 2018. The Milan San Remo Gran Fondo follows the same route as the one undertaken by the riders of the pro peloton during the annual spring classic in March, the Milan Sanremo.

We will collect you and your bike from Milan Malpensa or Milan Linate airports. We will run a minibus shuttle transfer service between the airports and the hotel at :

- Milan Linate : please email us to request availability
We will stay at 10 kilometres from the location of the race start, at the 4 star hotel NH in Assago near the Milanofiori area of Milan, at just 15 minutes from the start. Plenty of time is available to assemble bikes either this afternoon or tomorrow morning, and prepare for the Gran Fondo on Sunday. This evening there is a welcome meeting to get to know each other and the other riders that are staying at our hotel.
If you have rented a bike with us, it’s available for you this evening.
You are free to make your own arrangements for the evening meal tonight. There is a restaurant at the hotel or many others within walking distance.
Saturday June 9th, 2018: Preparation day:
Today you will need to register so you can either ride over to the registration venue (10km) or take our transport. Also today you have the opportunity to visit Milan for a spot of sight-seeing or shopping and a day off the bike or it’s a chance for a gentle ride out into the countryside to the south and a stretch on the race route. This evening you can choose to eat at the hotel or at a nearby restaurant (not included) after which an early night is recommended. This evening our guide will hold a race briefing on tomorrow’s event to help you get the most out of it.
Tonight we will collect your bike boxes from you and we advise you to be as packed as possible so you can just simply bring your luggage down to reception in the morning. We will transport your bike box and luggage for you whilst you are racing tomorrow.
Sunday June 10th - 2018 Gran Fondo Milan-San Remo:
Early breakfast today. We will need to be at the start of the race for 07:00 so we will transport you and your bike the 15 minutes to the race start. We will look after your luggage and deliver it to the Hotel in Sanremo whilst you are riding.
The first 120kms of the race is on and many riders will go at full speed. After hitting the coast the peloton thins out and it is easier to stop and catch a following groupetto than to stop early on and lose the wheel of the main bunch. The wind usually heads inland and is head-on, so staying with the group for as long as possible is a good move to conserve energy. On the way we provide additional support for you at our feed stops.
At the finish there is the opportunity to take part in a finish-line party, held in the adjacent convention centre. Alternatively you can make your way directly to our hotel, the 4 star Hotel Londra on Via Roma, just under a kilometre away from the finish area. This evening dinner will be served in the hotel.
Monday June 11th departure day:
We will be running 1 transfer to Nice Airport. You should aim for afternoon or evening flights where possible to allow the transfer time back from San Remo to Nice. (approximately 40 miles, and 90 minutes). Today we offer one transfer at 07:30 for flights at 11:00 or later.
