Maratona dles Dolomites & Etape or La Marmotte combo tour

2nd to 5th July

The DolomitesIf you’re looking to ride the Maratona dles Dolomites on Sunday 1st July and then either l’Etape du Tour or La Marmotte on Sunday 8th July, we will take you and your bike on Monday after the Maratona to Lake Como for 3 nights before moving to either the Maratona or Etape on Thursday.
In Como, you can join us and take on some of the iconic climbs that regularly feature in Il Lombardia, or use the time to recover before your next challenge.

We will transport your bike fully assembled on our specially adapted Sports Tours International minibus, which will support you on our two guided rides around Lake Como and the surrounding climbs.
We will tackle climbs of the Muro di Sormano and the Madonna de Ghisallo.

Northern Italy is well known for its cycling enthusiasm. Some of the World’s best known manufacturers are from this region : Pinarello, Bianchi, Campagnolo and Kuota.

During our 3 days in the Como region we will explore some of the roads made famous by the last of the Monuments of Cycling; the Giro Lombardia.

Each year the Giro di Lombardia, or Il Lombardia, visits this area. Rotating between a Lake Como or Bergamo start and finish, in 2017 the Giro di Lombardia started in Bergamo and finished in Como. In 2018 just metres away from the beautiful Lake Como the riders will start their race. Along the roughly 245 km route, the riders will visit climbs like the iconic Madonna del Ghisallo, the lower Italian Alps and beautiful Italian countryside. As is common with the Giro di Lombardia, the exact route will not be known until much closer to race day.
