The fight for Pink will take place from Friday 4 to Sunday 27 May 2018 and the big start of the 101st edition of the Giro d’Italia will take place in Jerusalem, Israel in May 2018.
The big start of the 2018 Giro will include 3 stages in Israel. We offer exclusive VIP experiences to the 2018 Grande Partenza in Jerusalem including tickets to the team presentation in Jerusalem, a day on the course in an official car and start and finish VIP access on all stages in Israel.

The 101st Giro d’Italia:
Jerusalem hosts the start of the 101st Giro d’Italia. The Big Start in Israel is the 13th time the Giro d’Italia will start outside of Italy.
There will be a 10km time trial on Friday 4 May in the Old City followed by two road stages on the Saturday and the Sunday. Day Two begins at the scenic Baha’i Gardens in Haifa, then passing through historic Acre and Caesarea, before riders head to the finish line on Tel Aviv’s beachside promenade, totalling 167km.

Day 3 begins in Beer Sheva and takes in southern Israel’s most dramatic scenery including the breathtaking Ramon Crater, finishing at the Red Sea resort of Eilat, totaling 226km.

Travel Itinerary:

Wednesday 2nd May, 2018 – Arrival day:
Today would be a good day to arrive. The biggest choice of international flights will be to Ben Gurion international airport.

Thursday 3 May, 2018 – Team presentation of the 2018 Giro d’Italia:
The team presentation is likely to take place at a large public venue in Jerusalem on Thursday 3 May. We are expecting the official team presentation of the 101st Giro d’Italia to take place this afternoon at about 16.00.

The team presentation of the 2018 Giro d’Italia promises to be a spectacular event and you can only gain access by purchasing a ticket.

Friday the 4 May, 2018 – Stage 1 – ITT in Jerusalem:

Today’s stage....
The 101st Giro d’italia starts on a Friday with a Time Trial just like it did in 2016 in Holland where current Giro champion Tom Dumoulin narrowly beat Roglic to grab the first Pink Jersey. Tom could well do that again today.

Stage 3 starts from Be’er Sheva then crosses the Negev Desert to finish at the Red Sea port of Eilat.

Today depart Israel or aternatively why not stay in Israel a bit longer and book onto one of sightseeing tours.
