VIP One Day Experiences

Sports Tours International is an official Tour Operator for the 2017 Tour de France. We have some fantastic VIP options available. Some of our amazing VIP experiences are: a day on a stage in an official Tour de France car and a Tour de France Helicopter experience, plus amazing hospitality experiences on the Champs Elysees for the finish in Paris.

An overview of the different VIP days and hospitality options available during the 2017 Tour de France:

A day on the course in an official Tour de France car:
Our most popular VIP option is to spend the whole day on the course during an actual Tour de France stage. Your day starts with the ‘Village Depart’ where you will meet your guide at the welcome desk. After the ‘Village Depart’ you will get in you official 2017 Tour de France car and spend the day out on the course. You will have lunch en-route and drive through all the crowds for a unique insider experience. At the finish you will enjoy ‘Izoard’ finish line hospitality.

Monday 3 July – Stage 3 – Verviers to Longwy – 3 places available – £650pp
Tuesday 4 July – Stage 4 – Mondorf Les Bains to Vittel – 3 places available – £650pp
Thursday 6 July – Stage 6 – Vesoul to Troyes – 3 places available – £650pp
Friday 7 July – Stage 7 – Troyes to Nuit-Saint-Georges – 3 places available – £650pp
Saturday 8 July – Stage 8 – Dole to Station Les Rousses – 3 places available – £650pp
Sunday 16 July – Stage 15 – Laissac Sévérac l’Eglise to Le Puy en Velay – 3 available – £650pp
Tuesday 18 July – Stage 16 – Le Puy en Velay to Romans sur Isère – 3 places available – £650pp

Does not include Travel to the Experience or overnight accommodation.

Ticket collection and further information:
At the time of booking you will receive a booking confirmation. Nearer the time you will receive an itinerary with directions and details of the exact location of the stage start location and how to meet your driver. Your accreditation badge and wristband will be available for collection from the official Tour de France reception desk at the official start village on the day of the stage.

Shuttle Service Back to the Start Village:
If you are planning to arrive at the Start Village by car, or are staying close to the Start Village, you have the option to purchase a shuttle service from the Finish Area back to the Start Village, at the end of your experience. Approximately 30 minutes after the first rider has crossed the finish line, you will set off by coach, arriving back to the Start Village in the vicinity of where your day started.

The price for the shuttle is £90.00, and includes:

  • Shuttle back to the start Village
  • On board video of the Tour de France (in French)
  • Local French newspaper
  • A packed lunch of a sandwich, bottle of water and a fruit (exact items to be confirmed)

Helicopter experience:
At 09.00am you will meet your guide for the day at the ‘Village Depart | The Tour de France Village.
You will start your day with a visit of the team paddock area to see the riders warm up and you will have front row access to podium to see the riders sign up for the day’s stage. In the ‘Village Depart’ there is entertainment and catering at the Village.

At 11.30 am you will get on the road in an official Tour de France car and depart on the stage route in your car before the riders. There will be a Lunch break on the stage route with Champagne service. From 13.00 you will be transferred to the helicopter zone and after seeing the passage of the peloton, you will enjoy a 20-minute flight over the Tour de France route.
Ahead of the stage finish, you will land and be transferred to the finish area where you will watch the stage finish in comfort on the finish line, in the VIP area. Here you will enjoy refreshments and Canapes and you will see a Live broadcast of the final kilometres of the stage before a breath-taking view of the final sprint of the stage. You will toast the rider’s finish with a “VIP champagne” moment and before leaving you will get a nice Tour de France gift to remember your day. The day will finish at 17.30.
A transfer back to the start town is available at a £90 supplement.

VIP access included with our 2017 Tour de France cycling and spectator tours:
All of the below VIP Tour de France experiences are only available if you book one of our official 2017 Tour de France tours. Please refer to each tour’s itinerary to see what is included. If you would like to enjoy one of these experiences on a certain stage then please contact us as bespoke requests can be accommodated for groups.

Village Depart:
The 2017 Tour de France entourage and organisation travel around with the riders. The team busses park within an enclosed and restricted area. An expo type village is created at the start of each one of the stages. It is usually here that everyone who is linked in any way to the Tour de France like TV, sponsors and celebrities from the cycling world will show themselves. Also local companies will be keen to show off their wares.
Your VIP passes will give you access to the village and the rider’s paddock. If you into collecting autographs, this is the best place for it.

Izoard finish-line hospitality:
The Tour de France sets up a limited number of areas located on course within the final portion of the stage. These have names like Izoard and Galibier. Access to these areas is usually reserved and by invitation only.
You will see famous ex-cyclists, sponsors and team guests. Typically these areas are within 200 metres or so of the finish line.
There is also a spectator friendly elevated viewing area. You will be served with drinks and snacks and there is a big screen to watch the LIVE action as it unfolds. After watching the finish, you will celebrate the victory with Champagne before watching the daily podium ceremony.

Relais Etape:
The Relais Etape is a hospitality area which takes the form of a small village in a prime position along the route, just a few kilometres from the finish line of each stage.This inspiring package mirrors the excitement of the race and includes:

  • A clubhouse
  • Welcome aperitif and unlimited buffet
  • Entertainment and live coverage of the race on a giant screen
  • Champagne celebration of the day’s action
  • Tour de France gift

Paris Hospitality Experiences for the final stage:

Tour de France Tribune Elysee – Price: £369 per person
Grandstand seats in the official tribune ‘Elysees’ located just after the finishing line on the right hand side of the Champs Elysees. With the circuit of the 104th Tour de France going further up the Champs Elysees towards the Arc de Triomphe, this will be a pretty good location to watch the proceedings.

Tour de France Triomphe Package – Price: £599 per person
For 2016, this area moved its location and is on the Rive Gauche side and it is the closest section on that side of the Champs Elysees to the actual Awards Ceremony at the very end of the Tour de France. Located across from the Tribune Présidentielle, the Espace Triomphe is as close as it gets when it comes to Le Final and awards ceremony.

Tour de France Le Berkeley Programme – Price: £549 per person
Le Berkeley is a well known location within Paris, and this hospitality package gives you a cocktail lunch party in a typical Parisian setting. This is one of our most popular and well received hospitality options with the quality and quantity of the very good food.

Espace Rive Gauche – Price: £859 per person
Located in front of the finish line, the Espace Rive Gauche provides a high-quality service.
You will be up front and centre to experience the exhilarating final finish of the Tour de France.
