TOUR DE FRANCE 2018

The Alps, Pyrenees, and Paris

15th to 30th July 2018

This official 2018 Tour de France tour will start and finish in Paris and you will see all the mountain stages of the 2018 Tour de France in the Alps and the Pyrenees with a little break in between to ride the Mont Ventoux. Exclusive Tour de France hospitality is included in this tour and bike rental is available. Both cyclists and spectators are welcome.

Running from Saturday July 1st to Sunday July 29, 2018, the 105th Tour de France will be made up of 21 stages and will cover a total distance of about 3,500 kilometres. The Tour will visit Brittany, Roubaix, the Alps, Provence, Massif central and the Pyrenees before finishing in Paris. We will pick up the Tour from the Alps through the Pyrenees until the finish in Paris.

Watch the final of the 2018 Tour de France unfold on the mountain roads of the Alps and the Pyrenees. This is a fully supported tour to ride and watch the 2018 Tour de France before seeing the winner being crowned on the final day in Paris. Spectators and cyclists will enjoy VIP hospitality on some of the mountain stages and cyclists will like the opportunity to tackle famous Tour de France climbs like Alpe d’Huez, Mont Ventoux and the Tourmalet.

VIP access and hospitality:
Your tour will include exclusive Tour de France VIP access on various stages. This is the best way to watch the Tour de France. You will also have the option to purchase hospitality on the Champs Elysees.

Accredited vehicles:
As we are a partner with the Tour de France all our vehicles have special stickers so we have access where others can’t go. We will park closer to the stages in the official parking areas. Your tour vehicle will have a bike trailer especially designed to transport bikes fully assembled and there is also one of our customised minibuses on hand as a support vehicle for the various guided rides that we offer during the tour. You will take the tour bus from Paris on arrival and then the TGV back to Paris on the final day.

Our staff service:
Riders and spectators are welcome as we will offer a daily programme for both. You will be made welcome by our team which include 2 ride guides and our minibus driver and mechanic.

Bike rental:
If you don’t want to travel with your own bike, why not make use of our bike rental option? We have Trek bikes available with either Shimano 105 or Ultegra groupset for rental for the duration of our tour. The bikes will be fitted on arrival in Paris and then collected back from you at the end of the tour.

After your arrival in Paris we will head down to the Alps to join the Tour de France. We offer daily guided bike rides and transport to and from the stages. On certain days we will enjoy official VIP access to the stage. We try to keep hotel changes to a minimum and we allow time away from the Tour to ride some of the classic climbs of the area. Bike rental is available and you will have the opportunity to do your own thing and eat out in some of the nice towns that we visit as well.

Our tour finishes in Paris on the Champs Elysees with the amazing scenes of the arrival of the riders of the 2018 Tour de France.

We will make our way to the Alps from Paris on our tour bus. This is more convenient than taking a transfer to the TGV station in Paris and then another transfer on arrival in the Alps. We will take our tour bus directly to Megeve and you will travel with all of your luggage and bikes. We will set off at 08.00 and expect the journey to take about 6 hours so we will get to the hotel in Megeve for about 14.00.

Today’s stage will start at the nearby lake side town of Annecy and finishes 169km later at the nearby ski station of Le Grand Bornand after having conquered some tough climbs. Megeve is in an almost perfect location for stage access.

Our itinerary...
The destination for both cyclists and spectators is Sain-Jean-de-Sixt near La Clusaz, just up the road from Megeve where we should be able to watch the riders come past twice; first when they come past St-Jean-de-Sixt and then as they finish at the Le Grand Bornand. We will accommodate a ride to this area for those who are cycling and spectators will be taken directly to the ‘Relais Etape’ to enjoy the day.
