The Final Weekend in Madrid

8th or 9th to 11th September 2017

Spend the final weekend of the 2017 Vuelta a Espana in Madrid and watch the finish of the last Grand Tour of the year on the Paseo del Prado.

Excellent accommodation will be provided in the heart of Madrid, only a few steps away from Plaza Colón, the city centre and all the action.

You have the choice to book 1, 2 or 3 nights at the hotel and a great addition to your weekend away will be booking some fantastic hospitality on the Paseo del Prado.

VIP Hospitality Area: £185 per person

Three weeks of intense, emotional racing come to an end in Madrid. This final, spectacular stage, takes place on an urban circuit that allows you to discover the many wonders and the festive atmosphere that the Spanish capital has to offer. Come and celebrate the final kilometres of this mythical race with the cyclists in ideally placed areas. This year, the riders will cross the finish-line for the first time at around 7 pm and again for the last time at around 8:30 pm. The hotel Gran Melia Fenix is conveniently located in the centre of Madrid for you to enjoy the finish of the 2017 Vuelta a Espana which keeps with its traditional finish in Madrid. As in previous years and like the final day of the Tour de France in Paris, the finish will be in the evening.

The Vuelta finishes in Madrid after an exhilarating 3 weeks of hard racing. Be there at the finish in a relaxing area about 100 metres from the finish line on the famous Paseo del Prado.

Friday September 8th or Saturday September 9th:
Please make your own way to the Hotel in Madrid, the excellently located Gran Melia Fenix. This hotel is within walking distance from the Paseo del Prado and the location of the Vuelta finish line, podium and the various Hospitality and Grandstand options. The rest of the evening will be at your leisure to sample Spanish restaurants if you wish.

Sunday September 10th – Madrid Paseo del Prado
The 2016 Vuelta PodiumOn Sunday, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, then the day can be spent at your own leisure enjoying the sights of Madrid. Late afternoon, walk the short distance from the hotel to the Paseo del Prado. You will see the passage of the Vuelta a Espana Publicity Caravan, followed by the arrival of the riders of the 2017 Vuelta a Espana.

The riders will complete 8 laps of a circuit based on the Paseo del Prado. We can offer a variety of official Vuelta a Espana Grandstand seats and hospitality packages on the Paseo del Prados for the 2017 Vuelta a Espana (see here for more information and prices).
